2012 Friends for Life Radiothon

2012 Friends for Life Radiothon
Kiss Kids Join us for the Friends for Life Radiothon with Eddie Foxx and Sharon Green of KISS Country, our hosts for this annual Mission Children's Hospital benefit. Tune in to 99.9 KISS Country or stop by Asheville Mall for the live broadcast on February 17 and 18 from 6 AM to 9 PM. Learn about the great care that Mission Children's Hospital offers to patients and throughout the community. Become a part of our hospital family and change the life of a child.

Meet Some Great Mission Kids
Meet Brody Evens of Hendersonville. Brody was born with hyper extended knees that required corrective surgery. After successful operation, Brody now receives physical therapy from Mission Children's. Whitney Shuler of Franklin had spine surgery to correct her scoliosis. The surgery was performed by Mission Children's pediatric orthopedist Jennifer Hooker, MD. At Mission Children's Hospital, we help thousands of infants, children and teens from across western North Carolina. Your support through the Radiothon helps make this world-class care possible.

Fun for Everyone
Just like we make sure that kids feel like kids--not patients--when they come to Mission Children's, we'll be providing fun activities for kids of all ages at the Radiothon. Come for face painting, caricatures, a Home Depot workshop and a teddy bear clinic, and look for special appearances by Lewis the Duck, the Tooth Fairy and Mission's therapy dogs too! Visit Missionchildrensradiothon.org to learn more about all the fun we have planned.

Volunteers Make the Radiothon Work
It takes about 100 volunteers each day to put on the Radiothon. If you have 3 or more hours of time on Friday or Saturday, you can help make this event a success for Mission Children's. People are needed to sell raffle tickets, pass out flyers, tabulate gifts and more. To volunteer, send an email to Anne.Roegner@msj.org.
