McDowell Hospital Named Five-Star Hospital

McDowell Hospital, a member of the Mission Health System, was recently recognized as a Community Value Five-Star Hospital® among the top hospitals in North Carolina by Cleverley + Associates (Columbus, OH). Cleverley + Associates is a leader in health care financial consulting with an emphasis on quality benchmarking and performance enhancement. The Five-Star survey examines ten measures in four key performance areas: Financial Viability and Plant Reinvestment, Hospital Cost Structure, Hospital Charge Structure and Hospital Quality Performance. Five-Star hospitals are noted for achieving CVI scores within the top quintile (20%) of all hospitals within their group.
