The Window Box Gift Shop brings a touch of home to McDowell Hospital. While it’s your presence our patients cherish, even the smallest gift brightens their spirit. Whether you’re here to celebrate the birth of a baby or support someone facing an illness or surgery, we anticipate your needs with a wonderful selection of gifts.

Gifts and Necessities

Enjoy warm beverages and light snacks from our tea cart and take your time browsing the Window Box. You’ll find classic balloons, cards and candy, a changing assortment of unique gifts and framed prints, and a varied selection of stuffed toys, bookends, animal statuettes and handbags. To help our patients and visitors pass the time, the Window Box also sells very reasonably priced books and reading glasses.

Patients may request complimentary toiletry kits but we carry the basic necessities for visitors.

If you can’t stop by, call The Window Box at 828-659-5493 and we’ll be glad to send flowers, gifts or cards to the patient’s room. Please be prepared to give us the following information:

• Patient name
• Patient room number
• Credit card information: We accept MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club and Discover.
