
Mission Health’s President and CEO, Ronald A. Paulus, MD, MBA, was the keynote speaker Dec. 8 at the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS) Fall 2011 Conference at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.
Paulus spoke on “Healthcare 2012: How Did We Get Here and Where Are We Going?” His address gave an overview of the current health care landscape and touched on key elements of future success for health care stakeholders such as providers, payers, businesses and government.
Prior to joining Mission Health in 2010, Dr. Paulus served as Executive Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Innovation Officer at Geisinger Health System. He was also co-founder, president and CEO of CareScience, Inc. which is now a part of Premier’s quality improvement division.
CHPRMS provides resources for nearly 250 members, the majority of whom represent health care organizations and/or businesses that focus on health care throughout North and South Carolina. The Fall Conference, going on December 7-9, is a joint meeting between CHPRMS and the Carolinas Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. More than 150 hospitals are represented at the event.
